ROOFING PARTNER FAQ
Good questions.Straight answers.
Know what to send, how review works, and where each professional’s role begins. Clear expectations before you take the next step.
SENDING A FILE
Start with what you have.
Documents, screening, and the next step.
What types of files do you review?
Denied, underpaid, stalled, or partially approved roof claims with documented issues. We screen for documentation, policy issues, economics, deadlines, and an evidence-supported recovery path. Not every file qualifies.
What documents should I send?
The policy, carrier decision or denial letter, carrier and contractor estimates, photographs, inspection reports, payment documents, and relevant correspondence. Send what you have with the homeowner’s authorization; we will identify gaps.
Do you accept every submitted file?
No. Every claim is screened for documentation, credibility, policy issues, economics, deadlines, and an evidence-supported recovery path.
When will we hear back about a submitted file?
We confirm receipt, identify missing information, and provide updates as the file moves through review. Timing depends on file completeness and complexity.
ROLES & ENGAGEMENT
The homeowner stays in control.
Separate responsibilities and direct engagement.
Who signs the public-adjuster contract?
The insured or properly authorized representative signs directly with FlatRatePA.com.
Can our company continue doing the roof?
Yes, subject to the homeowner’s choices and contractual relationships. FlatRatePA.com does not act as the contractor on claims it represents.
Can we communicate with the carrier?
The roofing company may provide construction information and estimates within its proper role. FlatRatePA.com manages policyholder claim representation after engagement.
Who owns the customer relationship?
The roofing company retains its construction relationship. FlatRatePA.com has a separate professional relationship with the insured for claim representation.
FEES & NEXT STEPS
Clear terms before engagement.
What review costs, how communication works, and when appraisal may be appropriate.
Does this cost me anything to submit?
No. Initial intake and completeness review are free. The policyholder is the only permitted payer for representation; the roofing company does not pay the public-adjuster fee. Transparent flat-fee terms are provided in writing before any engagement begins. Fees are subject to the signed engagement agreement and applicable Texas compensation limits.
Does FlatRatePA.com pay referral fees?
No. The partnership creates value by giving homeowners access to a professional claim-review and representation process. It is not a paid referral arrangement.
Will every accepted claim enter appraisal?
No. The appropriate path might include clarification, reconsideration, reinspection, estimate submission, supplementation, appraisal review, expert referral, legal referral, or closure.
Can our project managers access claim status?
Claim information is shared only with appropriate homeowner authorization. An online partner portal is not currently available. Contact our team about authorized updates.
